This project consisted of the development of an AI-driven product recommendation system for the sales field force aiming to increase sales in Brazilian small grocery store channel. The project began with a feasibility study, which I authored, securing project funding and establishing key performance indicators in collaboration with the finance department. I architected the technical service blueprint, defining algorithm development roadmaps and managing team assembly. Leveraging Azure and Databricks, a diverse team of data scientists, data engineers, data product developers, scrum masters and business experts implemented a personalized recommendation engine, deployed via agile development cycles. Iterative field tests, incorporating sales team feedback, optimized the solution's accuracy and usability.

The developed system provided sales representatives with real-time, targeted product recommendations during store visits. This involved the development of multiple algorithmic engines and front-end applications. My role encompassed overseeing the entire product development lifecycle, from algorithm selection and testing to deployment. Rigorous testing protocols were implemented to ensure the solution's efficacy.

The project culminated in a national deployment, serving over 100,000 retailers. The deployed AI solution significantly exceeded projected revenue targets, achieving a four-fold increase. This demonstrated the system's effectiveness and its transformative impact on the client's offline sales strategy. My responsibilities included not only the technical direction and execution but also the strategic alignment with business objectives and client collaboration.
