This project consisted of migration of one of the largest data repositories in Europe to a new Azure Tenant and was executed by the team working under the Head of Technology, Big Data Infrastructure, who reported to me. This improved system resilience through automated failover mechanisms and better resource management. It also reduced costs by aligning storage expenses with actual usage and consolidating data streams to optimize redundancies, increasing performance and reigning in costs, while addressing the need for reliable and efficient data processing at high volumes.

Direct stakeholders included the technology area departments and the CTO, with indirect stakeholders spanning all departments reliant on data analysis, from Commercial, Marketing, CRM to Compliance. We collaborated with these teams to design a cloud architecture optimized for handling real-time workloads and rapid data ingestion.

This move enabled several further deployments like scale AI applications more effectively, from AI-driven personalization algorithms to improved fraud detection, enhancing customer experiences and mitigating risks while supporting the existing reports. This foundation allows ongoing innovation, fosters user trust, and supports future data initiatives.
