Big Data Strategy Development

I led the development of three comprehensive data strategies for major publicly traded companies in the UK in the automotive, healthcare and Fast Moving consumer Goods. These strategies supported data-driven digital transformation, enabling the companies to effectively leverage data for automation and informed decision-making. This involved creating detailed execution plans, including investment roadmaps, team structures, and quantifiable and qualitative goals.

The strategies focused on establishing four key enabling functions: infrastructure and data processing, data governance and compliance, data product and AI development, and data culture training and change management. I developed detailed roadmaps for data hunting, ingestion, transformation, team building and data utilization, tailored to each client's specific industry and business needs. 

The successful adoption of these data strategies first led to the establishment of new director-level data departments within the client organizations. Then, the execution phase of those strategies resulted in the initiation and deployment of numerous data-centric projects and AI algorithms, some of them under my direct supervision. 

The accelerated digital transformation yielded millions of pounds in business impact either by optimizing costs or leveraging revenue, demonstrating my ability to develop and implement complex data strategies that drive significant business value.
